Liver Transplant Evaluation in Turkey for Patients from Uzbekistan
Uzbek patients may request a preliminary international hospital review when they want another specialist center to assess the available recipient and potential living-donor information. A referral is not acceptance and should precede travel commitments.
Liver Transplant Capability in Uzbekistan and Eligibility in Turkey
A June 2026 Uzbekistan Ministry of Health report documents liver and kidney transplantation within the national system, including a liver transplant performed by National Medical Center specialists in Samarkand Region. Living liver donation is major surgery for a healthy person. The potential donor must be evaluated independently, understand the risks, participate voluntarily and remain free to withdraw. A willing donor is not automatically a suitable donor.
