Allocation must remain independent
Deceased-donor organs are allocated through authorized systems using applicable clinical and ethical rules. Travel, private payment, or an intermediary must not create improper priority.

- A centre cannot guarantee an organ or waiting-list position.
- National rules always apply.
Transparency supports safety
Patients should receive understandable information about uncertainty, alternatives, costs of care, follow-up, complaints, and the identity of responsible clinical teams.
- Verify claims through primary sources.
- Ask how complications and follow-up are handled.
- Report suspicious donor or payment offers to appropriate authorities.
